About
Sentient Futures is a nonprofit working to improve the welfare of future sentient beings. Its Project Incubator pairs fellows with mentors for 10 weeks of remote project work across animal welfare, artificial minds, and AI governance, with topics that include farmed fish, insects, and wild animal suffering. Past fellows have built animal welfare benchmarks, policy prototypes, and research projects.
Location & Availability
Fully remote and open to anyone committed to improving the future for sentient beings. Expect five or more hours a week and a weekly mentor call. The current cohort runs from August 31 to November 9, 2026, and you can register interest in future rounds now.
